Sun in Hydrogen Alpha Large 11 part mosaic with iMerge With Coronado 40 Uploaded 9/5/11
 While clouds prevented getting the lower part of this huge mosaic finished, the free ware iMerge did a job much better than I could even come close to in Photoshop. Several very interesting features can be seen clearly in the image below. The huge spot group at center is is AR1283, a massive group poised eject an Earth directed CME at any time. Above it is a small filament, and to its left a huge filament which has persisted for many days now. AR1281 is seen on the lower right.
