The sun today
had a rather featureless disk, one tiny area to the extreme upper
left showing some faculae. The real attraction was the giant
floating prominence on the lower right, it was raining down bright
pieces as well. Not to bad for solar minimum!
disk from green channel, prominences from red channel, and averaged
2 to8 images. Applied midtone curve adjustment in PS, then wavlet
deconvolution, and dynamic background flattening process in Pix
Insight. Combined and colorized disk and prominence image in
Photoshop per accepted standard coloration creteria.
