Listed as a Supernova Remnant, this large reflection nebula is illuminated by Rigel, just out of the frame at the lower left. Named because of its dark left edge resembles the face of a witch, it is notoriously difficult to photograph, and requires very dark transparent skies for a good image. Also note the red emission nebulosity arcing under the Witch from the lower left, and the small patch at the top with a tiny red object embedded within.
