An exciting rich field of both dark nebulosity, star clouds and globular clusters. Just above center is M22, a large 5.2 magnitude object spanning half a degree in width. Most of the brighter stars in this cluster are 10.7 magnitude, and the fainter members are near 14.2 and some fainter. Off to the right is M28, a 7th magnitude and much smaller 13 arcminute globular cluster that is more concentrated in the center. The dark nebula Barnard 98 is near the bottom, and two additional globulars NGC6642 and NGC6638 are seen as stellar images at this scale.
