The M3 Globular Cluster Orion 8" f/3.9 Astrograph

Uploaded 5/21/17

This was the first clear night in a very long time in which we could get up to our second observatory in Happy Jack and do some dark sky imaging. This night was "Globular night" - I shot half a dozen globular clusters with the 8 inch, and it did a great job at sharp stars and in this shot, the magnitude limit for galaxies is around 17 for this 15 min exposue. The small edge on to the left is 14.3 magnitude and the tiny one to the left of the orange star on the upper left is mag 17.
