IC4605- Nu Scorpii Nebula in Scorpius Orion 8" f/4 Astrograph

 This stunning blue reflection nebula in Scorpius surrounds the star 22 Scorpii, a 5th magnitude blue star in the upper claws region of this constellation. Note that the outside of the field is VERY dark. This nebula is surrounded by large dark non illuminated dust clouds that obscure the background stars. This is a 15 minute exposure with the 8 inch astrograph.
