Comet C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy
in the star and nebulosity fields of Orion
January 7, 2015
The
opportunity for imaging a bright comet in a stunning Milkyway
starfield was well thought out for this image, with the placement
of the comet between sections of Barnards Loop in Orion, the
Hayedes and M45 at the top and a field filled with dark nebula.
The comet is now mag 4.2 and easily visible to the naked eye
from this site at my house in Payson Arizona. |
