Comet 67P Churyumov Gerasimenko and its
Amazing Anti-Tail
in the morning sky
11/13/21

Now at its peak brightness and close to Earth, we are now passing through the comets orbital plane and can see a thin very narrow line like anti-tail superimposed on the comets head. In the image below, this thin line is extending to the right from the teal colored coma. It is super faint and very difficult to image with the 10 inch, even with this 2 hour exposure. I have personally never seen an anti-tail on this comet before, even in past apparitions Ive imaged. This is a very special event!
