Images from the

Australian Outback - 2

Tracked images

Uploaded 8/30/02

Details of this image can be found in the first Coal Sack image description, however this shot demonstrates just how dark the skies were at our outback location in Croyton, the short 5 minute exposure does not hardly blur the foreground trees, but records the deep sky contrasts very well. The Southern Cross is just above the red nebula at the bottom (Lambda Centauri nebula) and to the lower right of the Coal Sack.
