Orion and Canis Major Rising

in the Morning Sky

Also taken in Croyden, I was amused by the orientation of the two constellations as they rose in the east. The thin crescent moon is just out of the photo at the left, and just below Orion, you can see the reddish glow of the Rosette nebula. Sirius is the brightest star in this image and the pink glow of the Orion Nebula can be seen quite clearly near the top.
