M8 - Lagoon Nebula in Sagittarius
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph

| One
of the brightest and most spectacular hydrogen nebula in the
summer sky is M8, the "Lagoon Nebula". Found in the
constellation of Sagittarius, we have a star cluster in the middle
illuminating the huge cloud of glowing hydrogen gas. You can
see pinks, red, and magenta in this object which is hundreds
of light years across. Taken with our 10 inch telescope here
in Payson. |

Mount: Astrophysics 1200 QMD

Guider: ASI290 w/80mm WO Zenithstar 81 piggyback refractor
