A Collection of images with the Questar of the Moon and Jupiter Taken 2/8/14
Its nice during the nearly full moon to get out on a clear night and try my hand at imaging with the very tiny Questar telescope from the balcony. I had not tried Jupiter yet, and was rewarded with a transiting shadow of one of its moons. Also, some shots of the moon itself shows decent details despite the poor seeing conditions.
Set up on the Balcony for some Lunar and Planetary imaging Jupiter with 3x Klee in Barlow - you can see a moon peeking around one limb, and a shadow of probably the same moon on the left limb. The 3/4 Gibbous Moon Prime focus - same DMK51 camera as above Seeing was quite poor at 3/10 so it was dicey to try the built in 2x Barlow for the next few shots QUESTAR SHOTS HOME PAGE HOME GALAXIES EMISSION NEBS REFLECTION NEBS COMETS GLOBULARS OPEN CLUST PLANETARIES LINKS
