There has been few nights in recent weeks that have been clear enough to try shooting the comet as it approaches the Pleiades star cluster in Taurus. On January 6th, one day before the closest approach I got these images, of a very green comet and blue ion tail sweeping below the cluster before the clouds slammed shut again. The 10D is very good at shooting comets, and has an excellent spectral response for the emission lines in these solar system wanderers.
