This image, taken this morning (June 27) with my 12.5 inch f/5 Newtonian is a 54 image RGB composite of 15 second exposures of a rapidly moving comet. This exposure was chosen to keep the comets movement small to not blur any details. Images were calibrated, and summed in Maxim DL by co aligning the nucleus of each 18 image RGB component, then combining the color image in Maxim as well. Note the overall green coloration from cyanogen, and the beautiful fan extending to the upper left of the nucleus. The comet is currently 4th magnitude, and is an easy naked eye object in southern Cetus.
