Spiral Galaxy in Ursa Major

Uploaded 1/22/01

This bright nearly edge on galaxy boasts several pink hydrogen clouds, and a few large bright OB associations. The seeing has been very poor lately, but between 2am and 4am Sunday morning, the seeing crisped up, and this shot was taken. A few faint field galaxies lie in the field mostly anonomous galaxies fainter than 16th magnitude.
