35mm Slide Holder for

Home Made Slide Copier Project

Updated 2/3/19

We have thousands of 35mm slides, and now we can digitize them for saving the rapidly fading ektachromes. Many requre a lot of photoshop work to fix the degrading appearance. This holds the slides securely in a home brew slide holder for my macro lens.

Click on thumbnails below for larger view:

Solidworks drawing of part for holding slides. You insert the slide in the top of the fork, and it comes to rest in a groove at the bottom.

Here is the slide copier in action. The camera is mounted on an aluminum frame over the holder, and the macro lens focuses on the slide. The distance is set so the slide fills the field. It is sitting on an illuminated light table with a 5600k light source inside.
Closer, you can see the slide in the carrier.
