Guide Scope Screw Caps Project

Updated 5/26/19

Here is an essential component of the three ring adjust mechanism for the guide scope on the side of the 8 inch Astrograph up in Happy Jack. To keep the six adjust screws from both denting and carving off the paint on the guiding refractor which normally carries a CCD camera for feed into the computer nearby - I came up with these cap covers for the screw ends. Amusingly, I first designed it up with red color, thinking this was the perfect color, then went ahead and printed up a set in blue for the Payson Observatory! Then when I got the glow in the dark filament - that was it, the perfect color for the scope in Happy Jack. So you will see all three colors here!

Finally - here in glow in the dark white. Seen on the actual screw ends here on the ring mounts for the 60mm guide scope.
