Cat Litter Scoop Project

Updated 8/18/19

After the store bought scoop had its handle break off recently, I decided it was time to have our cat litter scoop enter the 21st century and designed a new one. The design only took 20 minutes and printed out with a nice red PLA in 6 hours. The handle was a one inch wooden dowel which I spray painted silver and is strong and durable. It works great and was put to use immediately!

Scoop design in Solid works CAD program. I personalized it as well.
Final scoop assembled and ready for action! The handle is epoxied to the scoop and is painted with silver spray paint.

Underneath you can see the litter vent and strengthening gusset where the handle attaches.
